Our goal
Each article should help someone finish a specific task, such as shrinking a photo to fit an upload limit or choosing the right format. We try to explain why as well as how, so readers can make their own decisions.
How articles are produced
- Specific questions. We write about problems people actually have with images, and avoid padding.
- Testing where possible. Where a claim can be measured (file sizes, quality levels, format differences), we run the test, record what we did and report the numbers, including when the result is surprising. For example, our compression guide discloses the browser version and the sample images used.
- Cautious claims. We do not promise rankings, income or guaranteed results. Where platform requirements change often (social media sizes, marketplace rules), we say so and recommend checking the platform’s own help page.
- Credit and sources. We name official documentation when it is the source of a figure and link to the relevant tools and related articles on this site.
Use of AI and generated images
We use AI-assisted tools in parts of our research and drafting, and some illustrations on this site are AI-generated or computer-generated. These illustrations are decorative. Measurements, charts and test images in the articles come from our own tests. The site owner is responsible for everything published here.
Independence
We do not currently publish sponsored articles or paid reviews, and we do not accept payment to recommend tools. If this ever changes, sponsored content will be clearly labelled.
Corrections and updates
If you find an error, please tell us at ayman@pixetools.com. We correct factual mistakes promptly and update articles when tools, browsers or platform rules change. Each article shows the date it was last updated.
Advertising
If advertising is shown, it will be separate from editorial content and will not influence what we write. See our privacy policy for details.
