How Pixetools collects, uses, and protects your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how Pixetools ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit our website and use our free online image tools.

Summary

The images you edit with Pixetools never leave your device. We do not upload, store, or have access to your images.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

  • The images you upload or process.
  • The names of the files you process.
  • Metadata embedded in your images. The Photo Metadata Remover reads and removes it on your device only.

2. Information We Do Collect

2.1 Automatically collected information

  • Browser type, version, and language.
  • Operating system and device type.
  • Approximate geographic location (country-level).
  • Pages viewed, time spent, and referring URLs.
  • IP address (used only to provide the Service and prevent abuse).

2.2 Information you voluntarily provide

If you contact us through our Contact form or by email, we collect the information you provide.

3. How We Use Information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Understand overall usage through basic hosting logs (no analytics service is currently loaded).
  • Detect and prevent abuse.
  • Respond to your inquiries.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Pixetools stores one small preference in your browser’s local storage if you use the light/dark theme switch. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Pixetools itself does not need advertising cookies to process your images. When optional analytics or advertising services are enabled, those providers may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers. See our Cookie Policy for details and available controls.

5. Advertising and Google Services

Pixetools may use Google AdSense to support the free service. When Google advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may place or read cookies on your browser, use web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers, and process information to deliver, measure, and personalize advertising where permitted.

Where required for visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we will use a Google-certified consent management platform before requesting consent-dependent advertising storage or personalization.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We may use hosting providers, content delivery networks, a form-delivery provider, and—when enabled—analytics or advertising services. These providers process only the information needed to provide their service under their own terms and privacy policies.

Specifically: fonts and all tool code are served from our own domain. The Background Remover downloads its open-source code and AI model from public content delivery networks (for example jsDelivr) the first time you use it. Those providers can see your IP address and standard request data, but never your images, which are processed on your device. Messages sent through the Contact form are delivered by the third-party service FormSubmit.

7. Data Retention

Hosting or security logs may be retained for a limited period for reliability and abuse prevention. Contact messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, or meet legal obligations.

8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion where applicable.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable.
  • Use available advertising and consent controls for cookies and personalized ads.

Pixetools is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU).

10. Data Security

We serve the site over HTTPS and restrict access to the hosting account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our servers may be located in countries other than your own.

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will revise the "Last updated" date when we make changes.
